Cessna - Citation X
Description:
The Citation X is the fastest civilian aircraft in the sky, cruising just shy of the sound barrier at Mach .92. To date, Citation Xs have flown the equivalent of four trips to the sun. They've taken off and landed approximately 1 million times. And every day, their average duration in the air is the highest in the entire Citation fleet. Clearly, the X has earned its distinction as one of the business aviation's busiest, best and all-time favorite aircraft.
Running the mile in just six seconds, the X will streak from L.A. to New York in about four hours – saving you as much as an hour’s time compared to more conventional business jets.

Flight deck
Citation X cockpit, and it is among the most intuitive and proven flight decks in the sky. The X panel is dominated by the five 7 x 8-inch (.18 x .20-m) screens of the Primus 2000 autopilot/flight director system. Left and right Primary Flight Displays (PFDs) and Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) flank a center-mounted Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) display to provide pilots with a panorama of timely practical and functional information. This totally integrated system is standard equipment. Dual Flight Management Systems (FMSs) with the Global Positioning System (GPS) are also standard on the world’s fastest business jet. So are the dual LASEREF IV Inertial Reference Systems (IRSs), TCAS II and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS).
Engines
Designed for the rugged demands of regional airline and military operation, the high-bypass AE3007C1 turbofan engine has been custom-tailored to the Citation X. It gives the Citation X the highest thrust-to-weight ratio with the lowest specific fuel consumption of any business jet in its class.
