Cabin
Standard seating is between eight and twelve passengers in a double-club configuration with a three-person divan. Two seats can be reclined and combined to make a full-length bed. Otherwise all of the seats are fully adjustable, can move along a track, swivel, recline, and everything else a seat could feasibly do. Console tables come standard, and there is room for virtually any piece of equipment – computer, copier, scanner, TV, desk, and so on. Even with the tables and seats, there is plenty of room to walk around the cabin.
Flight deck
The Falcon 900DX also shares its advanced EASy cockpit system with the EX. Integrated into Honeywell’s Primus Epic suite, EASy features four 14-inch Primus Epic screens in a T arrangement. Increased precision and crew coordination are direct benefits.
Engines
Three fuel efficient Honeywell TFE731-60 turbofan engines deliver 5,000 lb of takeoff thrust each (ISA +17°C). With nearly a million flight hours behind it, the mature -60 promises to be highly reliable and cost efficient.
The engine features a wide-chord, damper less fan that contributes to high thrust levels while durability is enhanced through the use of single-crystal blade materials in both high- and low- pressure turbines.
Performance
The Falcon 900DX's trijet configuration enhances safety and efficiency while delivering high performance under difficult conditions. The center engine virtually eliminates separation draft behind the tailcone. The smart trijet configuration places thrust closer to the centerline lowering the critical Vmc and consequently takeoff speeds while the center engine reverse thrust assists in stopping on short runways.
